About Us

Who we are:
Our board is made up of representatives from each state, including shippers and state marketing board representatives.
What we do:
- Promote U.S.-grown apples in foreign markets with funding from programs administered by USDA-FAS
- Aid in the identification of new or potential markets or market niches for USAEC exports
- Manage overseas representatives and help them conduct promotional programs with staff and board oversight
How we achieve our goals:
International Programs:
The USAEC currently conducts promotion programs around the world – in Western Europe, Central America, Mexico, Canada, Russia, India, Brazil and Southeast Asia. The Council is constantly reviewing the opportunities to expand the market reach of USAEC exporters.
Promotions and Activities:
USDA funds are used to promote USAEC apple exports through unique programs developed for maximum impact in each market. This includes point-of-sale materials, recipes, promotion campaigns, sampling and other activities.
Trade Shows:
The USAEC attends a number of international trade shows each year to explore even more overseas opportunities.
