- ¼ tsp (1 mL) kosher or sea salt
Directions:
- Combine apples, lemon and salt in a large bowl.
- Roll pizza dough to an approximate 17 x 11 inch (42 x 28 cm) rectangle. Spread with melted butter. Sprinkle with evenly with brown sugar and cinnamon. Top evenly with apple slices placed horizontally along length of dough. Roll from bottom up into a 17-inch (42 cm) long log and slice into 9 equal rolls with a serrated knife.
- Arrange rolls in a greased 8-inch (20 cm) square baking dish. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 23 to 25 minutes until tops are golden and a toothpick inserted into the centre of dough comes out cleanly (cover loosely with foil if tops brown before fully cooked).
- Heat dulce de leche, milk and salt in a small bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds or until hot. Stir until emulsified and drizzle over hot apple rolls. Let sit 10 minutes before serving.
